The Ask

Despite being a software service, Ultracomms biggest selling point is in the people behind the business, the employees that contribute to make the products great.

The team wanted to communicate this, as it’s what sets them apart from their competitors. They aren’t a faceless software provider, they are real people who help their clients get setup, and that solve problems everyday, creating professional relationships with their clients

Their current site however was information and stock image heavy. While it did clearly communicate WHAT they did, it lacked any element of showcasing WHO they are, and this is their biggest selling point.

The Approach

The design improved the hierarchy and user journey massively. However the biggest design change was to re-focus the visual around the people of Ultracomms.

This meant bringing in photography, quotes and testimonials, and organising information to weave the unique story and selling points of Ultracomms in to the information about the products they offer.

The branding of Ultracomms laid out the beginning of the design journey, the colours, the typography and feel. However it was important to push this to the next level and combine it with the human element that was at the core of the redesign.

A huge part of this, was photography of the actual team to build the trust and showcase the actual offices to allow people to see who they would be dealing with and talking to. This meant bringing in the graphic and branding elements when needed, but also having the confidence to let them take a back seat, and let the human element shine through.

The Solution

The website now blends together the core mission of the Ultracomms brands, but communicates its in a way that improves conversion.

It’s not simply about providing the user with information, it’s about offering the real story of the company alongside that information, and weaving the calls to action in amongst this. Testimonials, photography, and ending key pieces of information with contact prompts create a user experience that gradually informs, but also builds trust, and allows the user to relate to the company. Letting the unique approach of Ultracomms produce the results they want.
